ABOUT JHASCOFISH
Jharkhand State Fisheries Co-operative Federation Ltd.(JHASCOFISH) is state level federation of primary fisheries co-operative societies. It is registered under the Co-operative Societies Act 1935 bearing registration no.-17/HQr Date 29.11.2008.
Area of Operation :
The area of operation of the federation is the whole state of Jharkhand. It may open branches with the prior approval of Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Jharkhand inside or outside Jharkhand for carrying out any or all the objectives.
Preview :
Primary Fisheries Co-operative Societies are scattered across the State, and are not in a position to address their issues individually. Hence, the Federation (JHASCOFISH) has been setup with a view to act as a bridge between FCSs and various departments of Govt.
The Federation may be used as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to provide services that cannot be taken up by the State in routine course.
The Federation being a registered body, has certain mandated obligations to be fulfilled to promote, and facilitate sustainable growth of fisheries sector.
